Julie has recently returned to the USA, after living, working, and traveling in Asia, for over 20 years.
A graduate of the University of Iowa with a BBA in Finance, and a graduate of University of Kansas with a BFA in Textile Design, Julie spent a majority of her career at Hallmark Cards, which took her to Hong Kong as Creative Director – Asia Pacific in 1999. A year later she met her husband (when she answered a classified ad in the South China Morning Post!) For the past 12 years, Julie has held design-driven business development roles with gift, home décor, and furniture companies, designing programs for national accounts
Julie was a founding WfG co-president.
Her favorite CRWash memories are concert / marching / jazz band competitions and MuDaCo! Most importantly, to her, are the friendships developed in all these activities, that still exist today across the globe. She believes that “Travel is the best education.” Julie and her husband are currently living in Surprise, Arizona, with their HK rescue poodle, Stella.
