Julie has enjoyed a 35 year career (so far!) in architecture and design. She celebrated 25 years with Gensler_NY and recently moved to London to manage Gensler’s Europe Region. Julie graduated from the University of Iowa with a BA and then headed east for graduate study at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn where she began her career following a quick stint working and teaching in Melbourne, Australia.
Julie serves on the Board of Directors for Gensler as well as for Right to Dream, USA which focuses on providing transformational opportunities for the next generation of leaders, primarily in Ghana, through education, character building, and football. She also served for many years on the Board of Architectural Review in Tuxedo Park, NY.
Julie was a founding WfG co-president.
Julie appreciates her high school memories with great teams working hard and having fun – in band, yes marching band, choir, women’s basketball, and track. She also (secretly) loved Mrs. Weber’s sewing classes and “Review of English Usage” taught by Herr Maas! Julie and Jeff live in Notting Hill, London with their black cat Ruthie and their very loud and bouncy Labradoodle Charlie.
